A 9 year old girl from Binghamton and his family dedicate time
every Saturday morning to help at Project Paw one of the local shelters. Not only that, she and her brother, who’s 6 year old, made useful handicrafts to gather donations they gave to the shelter to help with the expenses of caring for cats. It great to see the love for animals kids of this age have. Cats love kids too, it’s just natural.
Panzer, a cat who suffered from New Orlean’s Hurricane Katrina chaos has also
received love from the people at Cats-Are-Purrsons-Too a home for felines in care need. His family had to leave him behind on the storm and found him waiting at the door of their ruined home. They started looking for shelters that could take care of him until they settled again, and found Sister Marijon’s foundation (
www.touchedbyananimal.com) that helped them have Panzer back and healthy. Animals teach us how to love suggested Sister Marijon. I think that’s true.
I know we, cats, are important for our servants. But this time an
11 year old boy will be honored for quickly lying to her mother when she wanted to go back to save Simba. The cat got trapped on the house fire but the kid told her he had already escaped. Simba was burned on his paws and ears, but he’s ok. Cats are quicker to escape than humans.
Sad news is that
Asiatic lion from India are in danger of extinction. India is the only place besides Africa where lions exist today. Scientists suggest they should be translocated to survive but are being ignored. I believe humans should just use their brains sometime. It’s like the old story “as they didn’t come for me, I didn’t care”.
